The Adnova alternative for teams that check ads before they spend

Adnova is a creative suite with a bulk ad launcher for Meta, TikTok and AppLovin. Kitchn.io is the launch workflow for paid social teams. The sheet builds hundreds of ads; validation and the client's approval status sit between the rows and eight channels. Every change logged.

Why teams switch

Why teams switch from Adnova

QA before spend, approval before launch

Adnova's launch button checks that an ad set, media and the copy fields are filled in. The rest of the review is on you. Kitchn validates every row before launch. Required fields, URL format, platform specs, the creative enhancements Ads Manager switches on by default, forced off. A row that fails lands in error and never launches. The client reviews the real preview through a share link, the approval status is recorded on the row, then the ads go live.

Pinterest, Demand Gen and Snapchat, without a second tool

Adnova's launcher stops at Meta, TikTok and AppLovin. A Kitchn.io row can go to Google Demand Gen, Pinterest or Snapchat today with the same defaults and validation; LinkedIn, Spotify and AppLovin are behind a beta flag.

Naming by template, every change logged

Adnova builds ad names from a saved pattern: filename, date, placeholder text, a separator. Kitchn applies a naming template to every row, per sheet and platform; overrides are explicit and logged. The audit log records each change and approval, with before and after.

Where each tool fits

Adnova is a creative suite with a launcher. Kitchn.io is the workflow around the launch.

Adnova is a creative workflow platform. Creative Analytics reports on what is working. Inspirations is a library of 75M ads. Detective tracks competitor ads. Creative Hub stores assets, with comments and version control. Ad Templates ships Canva and Figma templates. The Bulk Ad Launcher is one module of that suite. It loads creatives from Drive, Dropbox or the Creative Hub and groups placements by filename. Ad copy templates fill the text fields, then the ads go to Meta, TikTok and AppLovin. Priced per ad account, with unlimited launches. A team that wants research, analytics, asset storage and launching in one subscription gets exactly that.

The gap is the middle of the workflow. The documented pre-launch checks are two. A Review & Launch step you do yourself, and a launch button that stays disabled until an ad set, media and the copy fields are filled. No other pre-launch check is documented. No documented approval step between building the ads and launching them. No documented audit log of who changed what. The Creative Hub takes comments on assets, which is an earlier stage of the job. Nothing in that flow is wrong for one buyer on Meta, TikTok and AppLovin. An agency with a sign-off step gets nothing between 'Review & Launch' and the ads going live.

Kitchn.io covers that middle. Validation that puts a failing row in error before it can launch. Approval statuses and comments on every row, with the real preview on a share link. The audit log answers 'who approved this?' with a name and a time. 2,100+ ad accounts launch through it. Creative research, competitor tracking and autonomous optimization are not what Kitchn.io does.

Kitchn.io vs Adnova at a glance

FeatureKitchn.ioAdnova
Bulk ad creation & launchYesAd sets and ads in bulk, from one sheetYesInto ad sets you pick
Adnova's launcher loads creatives, applies ad copy templates, bulk-edits the copy fields and launches into ad sets you pick. New ad sets and campaigns are duplicated from existing ones. Kitchn.io's Launch Sheet creates ad sets from a template ad set and the ads in bulk, hundreds of rows at a time, with copy pasted straight from your spreadsheet.
Multi-channel launchingYes8 channels, 3 in betaPartialMeta, TikTok, AppLovin
Adnova documents launching to Meta, TikTok and AppLovin, where it uploads creatives to Axon and launches creative sets. Kitchn.io adds Google Demand Gen, Pinterest and Snapchat, plus LinkedIn and Spotify in beta, with the same sheet, naming template and validation on each.
Creative Enhancements controlYes86 at last count, off unless enabledYes55+ toggles, per their site
Both tools switch Meta's creative enhancements off in bulk. Adnova lists 55+ toggles you set one by one or all at once. Kitchn.io's list runs to 86 at last count and grows automatically, set once per Launch Sheet, with anything not enabled opted out explicitly.
Asset import & placement mappingYesDrive, Dropbox, Frame.io, OneDriveYesDrive, Dropbox, Frame.io, Creative Hub
Adnova groups placements by filename suffix (1x1, 4x5, 9x16) or by hand, up to 3 assets per multi-placement ad. Kitchn.io maps filenames to placements on import and takes up to 5 images on a single-image row, up to 10 assets on a single-video row.
Reuse of existing posts & creativesYesExisting Post format, Creative ID reuseYesPost ID / Creative ID
Adnova relaunches existing single image, video and carousel ads by Post ID so likes and comments carry over, or by Creative ID without them. Kitchn.io's Existing Post format advertises a live Page post, Reel, Story or partner post. A Creative ID reuses an existing Meta creative with its creative fields locked.
Pre-launch QA checksYesRequired fields, URL format, specs, enhancementsNoRequired fields, your own review
Adnova documents a Review & Launch step and a launch button that stays disabled until an ad set, media and the copy fields are filled. Kitchn validates every row before launch. Required fields, URL format, platform specs, and Meta's creative enhancements forced off, 86 at last count. A row that fails lands in error and never launches.
Client & team approvalsYesStatuses, comments, previewsPartialComments on assets in Creative Hub
Adnova's Creative Hub shares creatives by link, with comments, visual annotations and version control on the asset. There is no documented approval step between building the ads and launching them. Kitchn.io puts approval statuses and comments on every row, and the client reviews the real ad preview through a share link, no login needed.
Naming conventionsYesApplied by templatePartialAd-name pattern from tokens
Adnova builds ad names from a saved pattern in Launch Settings: filename, date, placeholder text and a separator. Kitchn.io applies a naming template to every row, per sheet and platform; overrides are explicit and logged.
Templates & sheet defaultsYesSet once per sheetYesAd copy templates, launch settings
Adnova saves ad copy templates (primary text, headline, description, CTA, links, UTM parameters) and per-account launch settings for identity, pixel and launch status. Kitchn.io sets sheet defaults once; new rows inherit them, and ad templates are applied in bulk or through auto-import.
Audit trail of changesYesEvery change and approvalNoNone documented
Adnova's Launched Ads view shows each batch as processing, launched, failed or partial, with a relaunch button. There is no documented log of who changed which setting. Kitchn's Audit & Change Log is that log.
Creative research & analyticsNoNot a Kitchn.io featureYesAnalytics, Inspirations, Detective
Creative Analytics, a 75M-ad inspiration library and competitor tracking are Adnova's core products. Kitchn.io does not do creative research or competitor tracking. Its Creative Reporting covers Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Pinterest, with share links for clients, and holds no competitor data. Teams that want analytics dashboards run Kitchn.io for launching and keep Adnova or another research tool alongside it.

Pricing

Adnova prices the launcher per ad account. Kitchn.io prices per plan, by ad accounts and uploads.

Adnova's Bulk Ad Launcher is its own subscription. $79 a month for the first ad account, a flat $20 a month for each additional one. That includes unlimited launches and 20 GB of storage, with a 7-day trial. The analytics, inspiration and Creative Hub modules are priced separately.

Kitchn.io lists its plans on the pricing page, from €499/month, priced by ad accounts and upload volume, not by ad spend. Launch Team covers 5 ad accounts and 900 Ad Uploads a month; Launch Elite takes that to 15 ad accounts. An extra ad account on Launch Team is €99 a month and brings 100 more uploads. Both plans open with a guided trial.

For a launcher alone, Adnova is cheaper per ad account, and its launcher includes unlimited launches. Kitchn.io's price buys the validation, approvals, naming templates and audit log around the launch, and five more channels.

Fit

Who each tool is for

Choose Kitchn.io if…

  • You launch for clients, and someone has to approve the ads before they spend
  • You buy on Google Demand Gen, Pinterest or Snapchat too, or want LinkedIn and Spotify without a second tool
  • You want missing fields, broken URLs and wrong specs stopped before launch, on every row
  • Ad names follow a different convention per client, and you want a naming template applied per sheet and platform, with overrides logged
  • Several people touch a launch, and you want the audit log to say who changed what

Stay on Adnova if…

  • You want creative research, competitor tracking and analytics in the same subscription as the launcher
  • You buy on Meta, TikTok and AppLovin only, and nobody signs off before launch

Migration

Switching from Adnova to Kitchn.io

  1. Connect the ad accounts

Meta and TikTok first, since Adnova's launcher lives there; AppLovin is in beta on Kitchn.io. Add the rest as you go. Campaigns and ad sets stay where they are.

  2. Bring your defaults over

Recreate Adnova's launch settings and ad copy templates as Kitchn.io sheet defaults and ad templates: identity, UTM parameters, the creative enhancements you keep off. New rows inherit the sheet defaults; ad templates are applied in bulk.

  3. Add the naming template and approvals

Set up your naming template per sheet and platform, and decide who sets the approval status. From then on every row is validated before launch and the approval is recorded on the row.

  4. Point the sheet at the Drive and Dropbox folders Adnova already loads from

Point the Launch Sheet at your Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io or OneDrive folders, or paste rows in from Google Sheets. Preview, approve, launch.

  5. Keep the research where it lives

Kitchn.io does not replace Adnova's Creative Analytics, Inspirations or Detective. Keep those, or another research tool, alongside Kitchn.io on the same ad accounts.

FAQ

Kitchn.io vs Adnova: common questions

Is Kitchn.io a good Adnova alternative?

For launching with QA and approvals, yes. Adnova is a creative workflow suite whose Bulk Ad Launcher covers Meta, TikTok and AppLovin and has no documented QA or approval step before launch. Kitchn.io's job is the launch itself: the sheet, the validation, the client's approval, the naming template, the log, on eight channels. If your team launches for clients, Kitchn.io adds the validation, approval and audit steps that Adnova's launcher does not document.

Which channels does Kitchn.io launch to, compared with Adnova?

Eight. Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, Google Ads (Demand Gen), Pinterest and Snapchat are generally available; LinkedIn, Spotify and AppLovin are in beta. X (Twitter) connects for reporting; launching there is not available yet. Adnova's launcher documents Meta, TikTok and AppLovin.

How many creative enhancements does Kitchn.io control?

Kitchn tracks 86 creative enhancements and AI features at last count, the ones Ads Manager switches on by default or adds on edits, and the list grows automatically. They stay off unless you enable them, one setting per Launch Sheet. Kitchn opts out of anything not enabled, so Meta cannot turn extras on later. Adnova lists 55+ toggles.

Which asset sources does Kitchn.io connect to?

Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io and OneDrive, plus drag and drop from your desktop, URL paste and copy and paste from Google Sheets. Filenames map to placements on import, and bulk import matches assets into ads in one click. Automatic import from Drive and Dropbox folders is available on request.

How is Kitchn.io priced compared to Adnova?

Kitchn.io's plans are public, from €499/month. Adnova bills the launcher per ad account, $79 then $20 each, with unlimited launches; Kitchn.io bills per plan, by ad accounts and upload volume. Adnova's analytics and research modules are priced separately.

Does Kitchn.io have Adnova's creative analytics and competitor research?

No. Kitchn.io does not search ad libraries or track competitor ads, and autonomous optimization is not what it does. Creative Reporting covers Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Pinterest, with share links for clients; it holds no competitor data. Teams that want Creative Analytics, Inspirations or Detective keep Adnova, or another research tool, alongside Kitchn.io on the same ad accounts.

Is there a migration when moving from Adnova to Kitchn.io?

Connect your ad accounts, recreate the launch settings and ad copy templates as Kitchn.io sheet defaults and ad templates, add your naming template, launch. The ad accounts Adnova launched into are the ones Kitchn.io writes into, so there is nothing to carry across. The defaults are a copy job, and day one is realistic. Launch Team comes with email and live chat support and bookable office hours; Launch Elite adds personal onboarding and a shared Slack channel.

Every row validated, every approval logged. On eight channels.
